Battery BPS Series valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries, BPS28-12 provides long-lasting power support for numerous critical applications with its stable 12V overall voltage and reliable performance. This series has a wide capacity range from 5Ah to 230Ah, flexibly adapting to different power requirements. The nominal capacity of BPS28-12 is 28Ah at 20-hour rate, 26.6Ah at 10-hour rate, and 23.8Ah at 5-hour rate, providing precise basis for system design and backup time calculation.
This battery adopts an impact-resistant ABS plastic casing with a sturdy and durable structure.The battery cover is firmly connected to the shell, and the terminal area is specially sealed to effectively prevent electrolyte leakage, achieving a free-acid-free leak-proof design. The terminal configuration is flexible: the standard configuration is a B1-type terminal at position 7; users can also optionally choose T2 or I1-type terminals, installed at position 9, facilitating integration into various devices. The battery has a compact shape with dimensions of 175 mm (length) × 166 mm (width) × 125 mm (height) and a weight of approximately 9.6 kg, making it easy to install in space-constrained areas.
In terms of internal structure, the battery adopts paste-type positive and negative plates and absorbent glass fiber separator technology.This technology can effectively absorb the electrolyte and, through efficient gas recombination reactions, re-convert the oxygen generated during charging back into water, thus achieving true maintenance-free operation, with no need for users to periodically add water. With an extremely low monthly self-discharge rate, the capacity loss is less than 3%, ensuring the battery remains fully charged even after long-term storage. The pressure relief valve is made of non-combustible materials and is installed on the six filling holes of the battery cover. It automatically releases internal pressure in abnormal situations, providing a high level of fire and explosion safety protection, while allowing the battery to be safely installed in both horizontal and vertical directions.
With these technical characteristics, the BPS28-12 battery has an extremely long expected service life of over twelve years under normal working conditions, meeting Eurobat's definition of long-life batteries. It is not only an ideal choice for low-power uninterruptible power supplies, fire and safety alarm systems, emergency lighting, and monitoring systems, but also widely used in access control and key medical equipment.
