B.B. Battery BPS17-12 is a well-designed and reliable 12V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery, part of the BPS series. This series of batteries offers a wide range of capacities from 5Ah to 230Ah, meeting the power requirements of different application scenarios. The battery adopts a sturdy and durable opaque impact-resistant ABS plastic case, with the battery cover firmly connected to the case to ensure the integrity of the overall structure. The terminal area is specially sealed to effectively prevent electrolyte leakage; the standard configuration is a B1 terminal, fixed with M5 bolts and nuts, and users can also choose optional terminal types such as T2 or I1 according to actual installation needs.The six holes on the battery cover are used for electrolyte filling during the production process. After completion, a pressure relief valve made of non-combustible material is installed. This design significantly enhances the battery's fire and explosion safety level, providing users with greater peace of mind during use. At the technical core, BPS17-12 employs advanced absorbent glass fiber separator technology, achieving efficient gas recombination. It ensures the battery is maintenance-free throughout its lifespan, requiring no electrolyte addition, with no free acid, and is a leak-proof battery, making it safe for application in various environments.It has an extremely low self-discharge rate, with a monthly capacity loss of less than 3%, meaning that even with long-term storage, the battery can maintain sufficient power. Installation flexibility is another major highlight; the battery supports horizontal and vertical installation, providing great convenience for the internal space layout of the equipment. The nominal capacity of this battery at a 20-hour rate is 17 ampere-hours (Ah), with an internal resistance of approximately 16 milliohms, capable of handling instantaneous discharge currents of up to 255 amperes for 5 seconds. Its operating temperature range is wide: 0°C to 40°C for charging, and as low as -20°C to as high as 50°C for discharging, adapting to various climate conditions.Detailed discharge characteristic tables show that at different cut-off voltages, the battery can provide stable discharge times ranging from a few minutes to dozens of hours, such as at a cut-off voltage of 1.75V per cell, it can discharge continuously for 20 hours. The initial torque of all connection terminals is clearly specified, e.g., the B1 terminal is 2.5 N·m ±5%, ensuring the reliability and safety of the electrical connections. The BPS17-12 battery is an ideal power source for numerous critical systems and equipment. It is particularly suitable for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems requiring 30 minutes or longer backup time, fire and safety alarm systems, emergency lighting, and security monitoring systems. It can also provide stable and reliable backup power for access control, medical equipment, and telecommunications facilities.Additionally, this battery is widely used in power supply networks, oil and gas extraction, rural estates, hotel catering retail equipment, as well as renewable energy fields such as solar and wind energy storage systems, and can even serve as an auxiliary power source for electric vehicles.
