Product details
B.B. Battery's BPS26-12 is a high-quality VRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid) valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery in the BPS series, adopting a 12-volt integrated voltage design to provide stable power support for various application scenarios requiring reliable backup power. The entire BPS series covers a wide capacity range, from 5Ah to 230Ah, which can meet the needs of different loads and endurance times. The shell of this battery is made of sturdy and durable impact-resistant ABS plastic, ensuring excellent physical protection. The battery cover and shell are integrated through a firm connection, and the terminal area is specially sealed to effectively prevent electrolyte leakage and intrusion of external contaminants. The terminal design varies depending on the specific series and model. The standard terminal for model BPS26-12 is type B1, connected with M5 bolts and nuts. T2 and I1 are also available as optional terminal types, providing users with flexible wiring solutions.
During production, the electrolyte is filled through six dedicated holes on the battery cover, and a pressure relief valve made of non-combustible material is installed after filling. This design not only ensures the maintenance-free feature during use, requiring no periodic electrolyte addition, but also significantly enhances the battery's fire and explosion safety level through precise control of internal pressure. Both the positive and negative plates of the battery use an advanced paste coating process, which helps optimize the battery's performance and lifespan. A prominent installation advantage is that the BPS26-12 battery supports both horizontal and vertical installation methods, providing great convenience for the space layout inside cabinets or equipment. Under normal float charging conditions, the BPS series batteries have a design lifespan of over 12 years and are long-life batteries under the Eurobat standard, bringing long-term investment returns to users.
The nominal capacity of the BPS26-12 model is 26.0 Ah, measured under the condition of discharging at a 20-hour rate to a cut-off voltage of 1.75 volts per cell. Its 10-hour rate capacity is 24.7 Ah, and the 5-hour rate capacity is 22.1 Ah provides a reference for capacity estimation at different discharge rates. The internal resistance of the battery when fully charged is approximately 10 milliohms. It can support a maximum instantaneous discharge current of up to 390 amperes for 5 seconds, suitable for scenarios requiring response to sudden high-load impacts. The maximum recommended charging current is 7.8 amperes. Its operating temperature range is wide: when charging, it can be done in an environment of 0°C to 40°C; when discharging, it can adapt to extreme temperatures as low as -20°C and as high as 50°C; the storage temperature range is from -20°C to 40°C, exhibiting good environmental adaptability.
In terms of electrical performance, the detailed constant-current discharge characteristic data demonstrate its reliable output capability at different discharge times and termination voltages. For example, at 25°C, discharging to 10.8V for 5 minutes can provide a current of approximately 84.7 amperes; discharging to 9.6V for 20 hours still has a stable output of approximately 1.31 amperes. These data provide precise basis for load calculation and backup time planning during system design. The physical dimensions of the battery are 175mm (length) × 166mm (width) × 125mm (height), with a total height of 125mm, making it compact in structure. The standard model BPS26-12 has a housing material of ABS, and flame - retardant ABS material with UL94 V - 0 flame - retardant rating is also available as an option, with the model number BPS26 - 12FR, suitable for applications requiring higher safety standards. The initial installation torque for the terminal hardware is clearly specified: the B1 terminal is 2.5 Nm ±5%, and the I1 terminal is 4.0 Nm ±5%, ensuring a secure and reliable connection.
BPS series batteries are an ideal choice for low - power uninterruptible power supply systems, especially recommended for scenarios requiring a backup time of 30 minutes or longer. Their extensive application fields include fire and safety alarm systems, emergency lighting systems, security monitoring systems, access control systems, and various key medical electronic devices.Additionally, it is also suitable for power supply networks in the power industry, equipment in mining, oil and gas industries, telecommunications infrastructure, villas, hotel, catering, and retail store equipment, renewable energy energy storage systems such as solar and wind energy, as well as auxiliary power for electric vehicles. With features such as maintenance - free operation, no leakage, a monthly self - discharge rate below 3%, and support for flexible installation, it has become a wise choice for backup power solutions that pursue high reliability, long service life, and low operation and maintenance costs.
