Product details
BPL17-12 is a 12V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery in the B.B. Battery BPL series. It adopts absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology to achieve efficient gas recombination, ensuring maintenance-free characteristics and no need for water replenishment throughout its entire service life. Its case is made of durable, impact-resistant ABS plastic. The battery cover is firmly connected to the case, and the terminal area is completely sealed, effectively preventing electrolyte leakage. It is a leak-proof battery without free acid. The six filling holes on the battery cover are used to fill the electrolyte during production, followed by the installation of a pressure relief valve made of non-combustible materials. This design maintains internal pressure while providing a high level of fire and explosion safety protection.
The battery has a flexible design, supporting horizontal and vertical installation, which facilitates equipment integration. However, it should be noted that inversion is prohibited. Its plates are coated with a special paste-like coating, combined with an optimized internal structure, which gives the battery a low self-discharge rate, enabling it to maintain good performance even after long-term storage.Under normal operating conditions, the expected service life of BPL series batteries can reach 12 years, complying with Eurobat's standards for long-life batteries.
In terms of electrical performance, the nominal capacity of BPL17-12 is 17 Ah, based on the 20-hour rate discharge standard. Its capacity range is extensive, with specific values varying according to different discharge rates. For example, the 5-hour rate capacity is 14.45 Ah, and the 30-minute rate capacity is 8.5 Ah, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring backup time of 30 minutes or longer. The physical dimensions of the battery are 181 mm (L) x 76 mm (W) x 166 mm (H), with a total weight of approximately 6.15 kg. The compact design facilitates deployment in space-constrained environments. The terminal configuration provides a standard B1 type at position 7, while a T2I1 type terminal is optionally available at position 6 to meet different connection requirements.
BPL series batteries, including the BPL17-12 model, are an ideal power source for numerous low-power backup and emergency systems. Typical application scenarios include uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, fire and safety alarm systems, emergency lighting, surveillance systems, and access control. In consumer and industrial fields, it is also commonly found in medical devices, lawn mowers, fishing lights, and cameras.Additionally, it can reliably power telecommunication facilities, power grids, oil and gas extraction, rural estates, hotel and restaurant equipment, as well as renewable energy systems such as solar and wind energy, demonstrating extensive application adaptability.
