Product details
EP17-12EP Series is a 12V integrated valve-regulated sealed lead-acid (VRLA) battery launched by B.B. Battery, with a capacity range from 7 to 100 ampere-hours. This series of batteries is designed as a low-maintenance product with excellent cycle life, making it a reliable power source for many high-demand applications.
The battery casing is made of sturdy and durable impact-resistant ABS plastic, ensuring good physical protection. The battery cover is tightly connected to the casing, and the terminal area is effectively sealed, enhancing overall safety and durability. The specific design of the terminals varies depending on the battery series and model.During the production process, the electrolyte is filled through six filling holes on the battery cover, followed by the installation of a pressure relief valve. These pressure relief valves, made of non-flammable materials, are key to the safety design. They can effectively release internal pressure, thereby significantly improving the battery's fire and explosion protection safety level.
In terms of internal structure, both the positive and negative plates of EP batteries are coated with specially formulated paste-like active materials, combined with Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology. This technology not only achieves efficient recombination of internal gases, making the battery truly maintenance-free so users don't need to worry about daily water addition, but also ensures that the electrolyte is completely absorbed with no free acid present, fundamentally eliminating the risk of leakage. Thanks to this sealed structure and AGM technology, the battery has high installation flexibility, supporting horizontal and vertical installation (except for inversion), providing convenience for the internal space layout of equipment.
EP series batteries are specially optimized for high-load cyclic applications. Under normal usage conditions, their cycle life is outstanding, reaching 2000 cycles, providing a long service life and stable capacity output.Taking the EP17-12 model as an example, its nominal voltage is 12V, with a capacity of 17Ah at a 20-hour rate, 14.45Ah at a 5-hour rate, and it can still provide 8.5Ah of power at high discharge rates such as the 30-minute rate. The battery weighs approximately 6.2 kilograms (13.67 pounds), with a compact shape and size: length 181mm (7.13 inches), width 76mm (2.99 inches), height 166mm (6.54 inches), facilitating integration into various devices. This model comes standard with B1-type terminals at position 7, and also offers optional terminal types such as T2 and I1 to meet different wiring requirements. These technical features collectively endow EP batteries with high power output and excellent cycle capability, making them an ideal choice for numerous fields. They are highly suitable for scenarios requiring continuous and stable power supply, such as Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and telecommunication facilities; they are also widely used in various electric devices, including medical equipment, electric wheelchairs, lawn mowers, electric bicycles, electric scooters, and golf carts; and can even provide energy for portable devices such as fishing lights. Whether ensuring the operation of critical systems or enhancing the endurance and reliability of mobile tools, EP series batteries are a power solution that is high-performance, high-safety, and requires no cumbersome maintenance.
