The GBS12/75B.B. battery belongs to the Zelus GBS series. It is a valve - regulated lead - acid (VRLA) battery using gel electrolyte technology. Its core lies in mixing sulfuric acid with silica fume to form a gel - like and immobile electrolyte mass. This GEL technology almost completely eliminates the common electrolyte evaporation and overflow phenomena in traditional flooded batteries, thus avoiding the resulting corrosion problems. Meanwhile, gel batteries exhibit superior performance, including stronger resistance to extreme temperatures, shocks, and vibrations. Its valve adjustment system allows safe gas discharge, ensuring safe use.Structurally, it is similar to wet batteries, but replaces antimony in the lead plates with calcium, which retains excellent mechanical properties while significantly reducing the gas evolution tendency.
