The GBS12/7B.B. battery belongs to the Zelus GBS series, a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery using gel electrolyte technology. Its core technology involves mixing sulfuric acid with silica fume to form a gel-like and immobile electrolyte mass. This GEL gel battery design almost completely eliminates the electrolyte evaporation and overflow problems common in traditional flooded batteries, thus avoiding corrosion caused by these issues and significantly enhancing the battery's ability to resist extreme temperatures, shocks, and vibrations. The valve-regulated system ensures that gas generated during use can be safely discharged.Its structure is similar to that of a wet unsealed battery, but the key difference is that calcium is used to replace antimony in the lead plates. This improvement, while retaining excellent mechanical properties, significantly reduces the battery's gas evolution tendency. The GBS series batteries are available in 6V or 12V integrated form, with a capacity range from 7 to 225 Ah, providing users with flexible options. The batteries support multiple installation methods, both horizontal and vertical, to adapt to different spatial layout requirements. Under normal operating conditions, the series has an expected float charge service life of up to 12 years, or can achieve up to 2500 cycles in deep cycle applications, which meets the definition of a long-life battery under the Eurobat standard.Its deep cycle design is intended to provide maximum capacity and excellent discharge cycle performance.
