By mixing sulfuric acid with silicon powder, a gel-like and immovable substance is formed. This GEL battery technology almost completely avoids the common electrolyte evaporation and overflow problems of traditional flooded batteries, thereby effectively preventing the corrosion caused by them. Meanwhile, it has stronger environmental adaptability and can better resist extreme temperatures, shocks, and vibrations. Its valve-regulated system allows the safe discharge of internally generated gases.The structure of this series of batteries is similar to that of wet unsealed batteries, but calcium is used to replace antimony in the lead plates, which not only retains good mechanical properties but also significantly reduces the gassing rate.
