Zelus GFT Series GFT12/150B.B. battery is a valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) front-end battery with gelled electrolyte. Its core technology lies in mixing sulfuric acid with silica fume to form a gel-like and immobile electrolyte mass. This gel battery design almost completely eliminates the electrolyte evaporation and overflow issues common in traditional wet batteries, thereby avoiding the subsequent corrosion risks. Meanwhile, it exhibits stronger tolerance in extreme temperature, impact, and vibration environments. The battery's valve regulation system can safely discharge the internally generated gas.Structurally, it is similar to unsealed wet batteries, but the antimony in the lead plates is replaced by calcium. This key improvement retains the excellent mechanical properties of the lead plates while significantly reducing the battery's tendency to generate gas during use.
